INFINITT RIS Receives Meaningful Use Certification |
|
Phillipsburg, NJ - May 11, 2011 - INFINITT North America, a leading provider of image and information management solutions for healthcare, announced today that the INFINITT G3 RIS/PACS has been tested and certified as meeting the Modular EHR requirements for Ambulatory settings, in accordance with ONC-ATCB certification criteria. Certification by an ATCB (Authorized Testing and Certification Body) signifies that the INFINITT product has satisfied the certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology. The INFINITT RIS/PACS was certified through InfoGard, one of three ONC-authorized testing and certification bodies (ONC-ATCBs), on April 6, 2011. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law Feb. 17, 2009, established financial incentives to eligible professionals and hospitals that demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Eligible professionals and hospitals may qualify for incentive payments between 2011 and 2015. Current INFINITT RIS/PACS customers should contact marketing@infinittna.com to learn how this certification may help them qualify for government incentives. "It is an important validation of the INFINITT product, demonstrating INFINITT North America's commitment to support integrated EMR/EHR solutions and the open exchange of clinical data for authorized healthcare practitioners," stated David Smarro, CEO of INFINITT North America. "Also, with our single-database RIS/PACS, customers will benefit from easy access to medical images as well as patient histories and radiologist reports." "We have always felt standards compliance and interoperability were key elements not only to qualify for government incentives, but also to improve workflow efficiencies, communication among healthcare providers and the quality and timeliness of patient care." INFINITT North America's certification number is IG-2384-11-0057. ONC-ATCB 2011 certification conferred by InfoGuard does not represent an endorsement of the EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. Microsoft Excel software was also relied upon to demonstrate compliance with the selected certification criteria. -- end of message -- About INFINITT North AmericaINFINITT North America, located in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, is an affiliate of INFINITT Healthcare, a global company with more than 2000 PACS installations worldwide.
