The Brooklyn Hospital Center
The Brooklyn Hospital Center opened its doors in 1845, and has a long-standing tradition of excellence in patient care and the education of physicians.
Today, the Hospital Center is a 411-bed, acute care provider and teaching institution, and a member of The New York- Presbyterian Healthcare System. TBHC offers advanced medical and surgical procedures, serving more than 500,000 patients per year. It recently opened a Women's Health Center offering a full array of women's health services, including a Breast Imaging Center.
In February 2007 The Brooklyn Hospital Center implemented the INFINITT PACS, and has improved report turn-around times and essentially eliminated the problems caused by lost films. Radiologists and clinicians are extremely pleased with their access to images from workstations throughout the hospital, and from offices and other locations outside the hospital.

“[The INFINITT PACS] has reduced cost for us significantly. We were spending almost a million dollars a year in film, and that cost has gone down to just several thousand dollars a year in film at this point. That was accomplished rather quickly.”
