Meaningful Use

The INFINITT G3 RIS has been tested and certified as meeting the 2014 Modular Ambulatory EHR requirements, in accordance with ONC-ACB certification criteria. INFINITT added specific features and enhancements to the RIS to accommodate Stage 2 requirements, while keeping the product as intuitive and MU2Certified.jpguser-friendly as possible. Data gathering required by CMS to qualify for incentive payments is seamlessly embedded in the INFINITT RIS workflow to lessen the burden of collecting data.
Many of the MU2 objectives that revolve around patient communications are available through the Patient Portal, eg. enabling the patient to access imaging results through secure electronic messaging. INFINITT goes beyond that, also enabling patients to view their patient histories, request edits/corrections, request/view appointments, access educational materials, participate in surveys, and more.

INFINITT’s MU2-compliant RIS also includes the ability to build Clinical Decision Intervention Rules, generate patient lists based on data entered specifically for Meaningful Use, and gather new data elements such as patient family history and communication preferences.

“This EHR Module is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”

Transparency and Disclosures
Cost Transparency: A contract is required to purchase INFINITT RIS. The Meaningful Use module is an optional module that can be purchased by INFINITT RIS customers with a onetime software licensing fee and monthly maintenance fees. These fees cover the right to use INFINITT’s Meaningful Use Module, initial set up, ongoing updates and training. INFINITT does not charge additional fees per transaction or per number of users. A connection fee will be charged to establish a connection to each third party HISP. Prices vary depending upon the type of connection desired.

There is no restriction on the amount of data that can be stored in the RIS, however, additional charges may be incurred when adding physical storage capacity.

Limitations: For each facility that is licensed for Meaningful Use, unlimited outbound and inbound messaging can be utilized. The solution has dependencies on available bandwidth. Data can be exported in a standard format for the purpose of completing the Continuity of Care document. Support is limited to the terms and conditions set forth in the INFINITT RIS contract. Updates will become available to all INFINITT RIS Meaningful Use customers who maintain a Service Contract.
