INFINITT Digital Pathology Solution (IDPS)*

Digital Pathology uses digital slide scanners to convert glass-slide images to Whole Slide Images (WSI) that can be viewed, interacted with, and analyzed from a single viewer, and shared via the Internet.

INFINITT Digital Pathology Solution (IDPS) accesses slide images from multiple vendors’ scanners (Aperio, Ventana, 3DHISTECH, Hamamatsu, VisionTek, and more). Digitized slide images can then be stored in full quality and rapidly available to multiple users simultaneously. Integration with EMRs and laboratory information systems facilitates electronic workflows, remote consultation, and tumor board review.

  • Simplifies access to current and historical images once they have been digitized
  • Enables image sharing for second opinion and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Allows user to navigate slides in full-view or to compare multiple slides in one view, to mark regions of interest, and to annotate and save annotations
  • Supports remote reading through distributed workflow
  • Allows images to be analyzed by advanced digital tools and computational tools like artificial intelligence
  • Reduces time for exchanging data through image and screen sharing
  • Fast image searching & viewing from Pathology or VNA archive
  • Supports authentication and user management, enhancing security
  • Enables archiving of Whole Slide Image Data with easy and secure data backup options
  • User configurable compression settings for efficient transfer and retention

As regulatory and validation issues become resolved and adoption/utilization of digital pathology grows, large amounts of digital tissue data will become available for use by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Deep-learning based image analysis algorithms (for detecting, scoring, tracking markers, etc.) will be utilized to improve the accuracy of pathology review and research, and to shorten overall diagnostic turnaround time.

True Enterprise-class Technology

INFINITT Digital Pathology Solution uses INFINITT Healthcare Platform (IHP) — a standards-based Enterprise Imaging platform that integrates data from multiple specialties– for enhanced interoperability and storage consolidation.

IHP is important because it enables pathologists to follow the entire patient journey. The imaging path of a cancer patient is particularly complex, often involving a range of modalities, file formats and specializations. For multi-disciplinary care, we need a system that can collect and display all types of images and medical data and support the flow of information across the healthcare enterprise.

In addition, IHP has the power to process large pathology datasets at high speed, and includes Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), enabling you to manage the full range of medical information more efficiently.

Another feature, IDPS is built from the ground up to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) for workflow enhancements and image analysis. Implementing digital pathology with AI can facilitate faster, more accurate and more consistent clinical diagnosis.

INFINITT Ophthalmology PACS

INFINITT Ophthalmology PACS is a web-based image management solution that allows you to capture all data from a patient’s visit – no matter what media – and to store, retrieve, view, enhance and print from a single workstation. Integrates seamlessly with your ophthalmology EMR, making images accessible directly from the patient’s chart.

  • Acquires images and data directly from new and legacy Ophthalmology devices, converts to DICOM (when needed) and maintains full diagnostic quality. Reduces data entry and enables fast report generation by creating an integrated viewing environment.
  • Offers hanging protocols specific to Ophthalmology to ensure the appropriate presentation state for intraocular pressure, fundus, visual field images, etc. System recognizes the user on login and applies his/her desired presets and hanging protocols.
  • Supports split screen configuration so you can have the report on one side and images on the other or compare current and prior images to track disease progression, compare right and left eyes, or view two different types of  images.
  • Adjustable zoom, pan and rotate functions. Ophthalmic image annotation supports your diagnosis, enables you to educate the patient about their condition and improve communications with other healthcare professionals. Annotated images are automatically saved as a separate file rather than overwriting the original file.
  • Includes graphical representation with drawing tools, integrated document scanning, CD burner and built-in dictation module
  • HIPAA compliant user ID and password protection, secure and encrypted web-protocol, access control and audit trails.

A dedicated Radiotherapy Treatment image and data management solution, optimized to streamline workflow for oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists and nurses. INFINITT RT PACS stores and manages RT plan images and data [via DICOM RT] from disparate treatment planning systems and displays all plan data history from a single system.

Supports CT/ROI, dose distribution information, Digitally Reconstructed Radiography (DRR) images/portal images, Dose Volume Histograms (DVH) and beam information. Provides full 3D display, including axial, sagittal, coronal and VR modes. Provides dose summation and comparison of different plans for quality evaluation. Transfers DICOM RT plan images and information to your EMR or HIS through optional interfaces.

Advanced Visualization

For almost a decade, INFINITT has offered 3D post processing and advanced analytical tools for clinical specialties under the Xelis™ label. Now, in addition to Xelis™, we are able to provide an advanced integration between INFINITT’s enterprise imaging solutions (radiology, cardiology, dental, etc.) and TeraRecon’s vast library of advanced visualization and artificial intelligence (AI) packages. This integration means that physicians can access the Intuition™ packages described below seamlessly from within the INFINITT viewer and save their work with a single sign-on with no disruption in reading workflow.
